Windmill Bling | Friday Jan 18, 2008
When I began the preceding mini-series of the horses, I mentioned the land had been put up 'For Sale' for commercial development and that the horses would be missed after it was sold.
I understand urban expansion into farm/ranch land will continue to occur, but it is somewhat comical the lengths developers go to augment what they are building with what was there. I suppose they could do worse.
This colorful and decorative 'windmill' sits on land (a few miles away from the horse images) and was developed as a shopping mall to have a 'western' flair.

In BC we used to have what was called Agricultural Land Bank. Application had to be made to develop it. That is gone now and some incredibly fertile land in growing houses now.
