The Sixth Floor | Friday Jan 25, 2008
The image with the open window is on "the sixth floor" of the Texas School Book Depository building and that particular window is what is known as the sniper's perch used by JFK's assassin, the second view is looking up from street level.
When I processed the full frontal posting of the building yesterday, I wanted to do so in a manner similar to colorized postcards in the period. The style had almost an 'etching' type of quality with the building in sharp detail and the foreground somewhat muted in color.
I recall for years this building had a 'Hertz Rental Car' billboard on the very top. It is a little eerie the place and people (O.J. Simpson) Hertz has used to advertise their brand.

Lovely blue and orange colors though. Very impressive, especially the bottom photo.
