How utterly spectacular. I cannot imagine dying there and being buried there. What a desolate place.

Cremation and scattering of ashes would do fine for me too, unfortunately the French don't seem too comfortable with the scatterish of ashes. It's unlawful in most places I think

cool shots. great composition, textures, contrast, etc. it looks almost very old. like an abandoned cemetery -- almost makes me imagine there was some battle or something there a hundred years ago and they buried everyone right there, but there i go with that romanticized view of the old west, plus i'm sure the wood would have totally decayed by now if it were that old.

Though these images are wonderfully framed and have a great feel, on this first night of Passover, I'm not sure about all those crosses. :)

I once took pictures of a cimetary and I have to agree that I felt myself not very comfortable. I guess that there must be buried very poor people or people who were very attached to their land and roots.

I once head someone say that they wanted to be cremated, stuffed into fireworks, and lit off at the beach while all the family and friends were celebrating that person's life. And I think I might just want to play copycat with that idea :) Great image. I'm loving these desert shots.
