The background does seem rather ominous and yet you've got abundant light in the foreground. I would have guessed that it poured that day.

Love the contrast between the heavy, ominous sky and sunny land. Feels like we're on the cusp of something, yet don't know which way things will go. A lot like life!

guess these clouds were all bark and no bite. it does look threatening, but that's especially neat given the contrast between that and how bright and sunny it looks on the mountain.

I like how the hillside is bathed in golden light while the sky is such slate gray. Nice shot!
