I tend to favor shallow depth of field images (the distance in front of and beyond the subject matter being in focus.) This photograph is of a Lace Bark Elm tree (mentioned in yesterday's post.)

Comments:

I was expecting that this was a White Clump Birch which has bark very similar to this. We have them in Arkansas. Elm trees were plentiful in Ohio (my native state) and I've missed them. I'm going to see if I can find one of these to buy. Beautiful shot.
