The polka dotted mare warmed up to me -- the top image shows her approaching toward the fence with the bottom image at the fence boundary line. Notice the color of her eyes and the skin around them! I was amazed because at a distance you would never know. (FYI, there was no manipulation of the eye or the skin color in Photoshop.)
In yesterday's image, the "blur" of the first horse at the fence was due to the aperture, focal length (200 mm) of the telephoto lens I was using, and the fact that my point of focus was the spotted white horse in the distance. It may have been a little too shallow depth of field, but I liked the separation and the emphasis on the spotted mare. This is the last of the horse series for now.

Yesterday I saw the tallest horse I have ever seen. I wouldn't even guess at his height but he was towering.
