Being next to a hot air balloon as it is 'inflated' provides an amazing perspective of its magnitude. One especially nice thing about the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is that in spite of the crowds the pilot and ground crew for the aircraft welcome spectators and gladly answer questions. Some even pass out 'trading cards' with an image of their balloon and statistics about it. A few even give collectible event pins depicting their particular balloon.
