wow! i'm glad the fire was contained and you're safe. hope it didn't do too much damage to anyone else. amazing capture here! consider submitting to photofriday 'flight' challenge? don't know if you're into that photo meme stuff though; i'm only up to it sometimes myself.

Fabulous photo. The colors, lighting, compo sizzle. Would hate to think you Texans are enduring fires like we had here in California. But I know if you were, despite your warnings to me to the contrary, you'd be out there taking as much photographic advantage of the situation as you could.

Superb picture, 100% sharp, even the tip of the rotor blades. Good gear ! You Texans had hard times. These people are very brave to fly in the fires with all the turbulences that it creates.
