well said, and captured. it does look rather barren. at first, i thought maybe it was the sunlight that was washing out the landscape, very sad to learn that there is a better explanation.

Passing trend, I doubt it.
The 21st century will be "green" or it won't be. Considering the extent of the damage we've done in the past 100 years, we can't go another 100 years in the same logic.

Beautiful photo. I forgot Earth day and post about city paving today (Mary Mary quite contrary...)

I agree with your words, and I imagine how this picture would be beautiful with a nice lighting and crystalline sky, instead of this white and foggy light. All my hopes for a cleaner world for our children...

Very nice panoramic (smog aside)...sadly the 'fouling of the nest' is epidemic. When we have the 'enviormentalist VP' Al Gore standing by while Nafta is pushed thru with no saftey or enviromental teeth it gives not much hope within the dominant political paradigm..
