A bloom from the Christmas cactus my mother gave me.

It reminds me of a scene in one of my favorite holiday movies, The Homecoming: A Christmas Story, where Momma Walton (Patricia Neal) brings her Christmas cactus (given to her by her mother) up from the basement (where it had been stored to promote flowering) and excitedly shows her family.
