Awesome subject. I am very impressed with the 40D to capture such clarity on these shots.

Too bad about the fires - but what an awesome photographic opportunity.

I stay always fascinated by helicopters, the mechanical dragonflies. Hopefully nearly almost for a human intervention. Great clean captures

i like this series. i mean i don't like that there was a fire but i guess that does add some excitement to the captures. anyhow, both these shots are great. what sticks out to me about the top one is the composition and feeling of 'will he get to the fire in time'. what sticks out to me in the bottom one is beautiful red on the helicopter and the feeling of danger from all that smoke in the background
