How strange the cliff has been colored. Is it two different layers??

Did you notice the two minuscule hikers in the lower left corner?
The red stratum layer is naturally occurring and is not photoshopped. I did however have on a polarizing filter and it produced some weird gradient in the sky. More info is available by clicking on the "Title" of the post.

Very cool strata capture! It's like someone cut a cake in half to separate the frosting and base layers. Also like the deep blue in the sky.
