Awkward Dismount | Wednesday Feb 20, 2008
The stance and positioning of this male cardinal in the top image immediately brought to mind the tall ramp for 'ski jumping' in the winter Olympics (he just needed some snow and skis ;-)
With the lower image appearing as if he had a mishap. But he was fine, just an awkward appearing take off.
Note, the lines in the background are from the side of the 'rusted boathouse' in yesterday's post. The metal boat shed is built on the side of a hill (where you see the cardinal images) that slopes down to the lake. My positioning for photographing the boathouse (previous post) was from 'above' proving an atypical glimpse of the water below.
